Who is behind WordCraft?
Margot Shane is the founder and principal tutor behind WordCraft. Margot grew up here in Bermuda and attended school and university in the UK. After exploring various careers, she discovered her love of engaging with, teaching and learning from young people.
What does WordCraft teach?
At WordCraft, we offer personalized reading and writing tutoring to young people of all ages. We work with you, your young person and their teachers to identify and develop strengths and weaknesses that will help your teen reach their goals.
Reading
Reading is a fundamental skill that is essential for success in all areas of life. We are passionate about reading and will help your young person develop their phonics, syllabication, comprehension, vocabulary and critical thinking skills.
Writing
Whether your young person wants to improve their writing skills for school, work or personal reasons, we can help. We will work with your young person to develop their writing style and help them express their ideas effectively.
Study Skills
Good study habits are essential for success. We will teach your young person strategies for time management, organization and effective studying that will help them achieve your academic goals.
College Essay Prep
Writing personal essays and statement for college and university can be stressful, but it doesn't have to be. We will help your teen develop the skills and confidence they need to develop a powerful personal writing style that maximise their chance of success.
